Chris' mom came to STL Thursday night before she and Chris left for northern MO on Friday. She is staying up there with Chris' sister for a couple of weeks before heading back to FL. It was good to see her, if only for a short visit. Saturday night we went to our friend John's house for a nice little BBQ and fireworks. His backyard is so perfect! He has an awesome pond with koi fish and the biggest bamboo I've ever seen! The food was great and the fireworks were loud - my kind of holiday!
