The great Smoky Mountains!!! A few weeks ago we packed up the car and headed with the rents to TN for some family reunion time. We stayed in a cabin with 12 bedrooms in it and stayed there with a bunch of my cousins and their families. It was fun and noisy and cold. Our bedroom was apparently the coldest in the house and the one right next to us was the warmest. Which doesn't work well when you have a two year old who doesn't like covers. We hung out with the family and also saw the sights - the store "goats on the roof" was such a great gimmick and Freddy loved the goats, especially the baby ones. We went shopping a little and ate at several yummy restaurants. We went into the park one day and dad took a bajillion pictures of us on the rocks. Senior pictures times a thousand and of course I didn't do my hair that day. We went to Dollywood one day and Freddy and Chris lasted about 4 hours in the blistering heat and crowds before we had to retreat immediately. I've learned that if your child is young enough not to need a ticket then he's too young to rides any rides or have any fun. Save your time and learn from me. I will post pics of the new house soon the next time I get a break. We got back from TN on Thursday and immediately started the moving process which is the worst. ever. We have a lot of boxes unpacked but Chris is still going back to our other house every second he gets to finish everything up there. Can't wait until it's sold.
