This past Saturday Chris and I went on a date - dinner and ice cream, yeah! We were going to go to this restaurant in Maplewood that Chris had read a review of, but it turns out they were out of business, so we ended up eating at Maya Cafe. It is Pan-Latin cuisine which means Chris ate a ton of chips and salsa before we actually ate, and had a real Margarita (no cheapo mix - real limes and stuff!). It was good and nice to be eating somewhere kind of fancy (compared to our usual dives which are delicious, but, well, dives). Then I persuaded Chris to go to Ted Drewes and we stuffed ourselves some more on some delicious custard. THEN we headed over to Max and Kati's to go see little baby Oscar. He is doing well and is super cute, of course. Crazy to think that in a few months we will be doing all that baby stuff too. Which is why we're trying to go on a bunch of date nights before that happens.... :-)
