Freddy's first birthday!  Well, we made it through Freddy's first official birthday.  It was over 100 degrees yesterday and has been for the past week, so it was a very inside party - no outside shenanigans.  Our AC was cranking the entire time and it still got warm but hey, what can you do?  There were lots of friends over who helped with the food and drinks, thankfully, and Freddy had three other little friends to crawl around with too - Oscar, Grayson and Seth.  He didn't really dig into the cake but sort of played with the frosting a little.  He let Aunt Jen spoon it into his mouth afterwards, though.  Thanks Jen - I will remember that when I am Aunt Becca to your kiddos!  :-)  Freddy didn't take a morning nap so he got a little cranky towards the end of the party but  I really do think he liked having a bunch of people around.  That kid's a partier - definitely gets that from me and not his daddy.  He got a bunch of cool presents too, which we will bring out one by one so he can enjoy them all slowly and not get bored with them.  We are going to Picture People on Wednesday to get his 1 year photos taken - have to get a diaper picture of that fat belly before it disappears!  Thanks to everyone who helped make his party a success - it was great seeing all of you.  Next year, we are ordering pizza and buying a cake.  For real!
